"Being Removed" by Tona Wilson

This is a copy of one of the four small books that make up my handmade artist's book "Stories Behind Bars," made at Women's Studio Workshop during a residency in 2010. The whole book is now out of print but I still have a couple of copies of some of the sections, and this is one of the copies. You can see the whole book at https://wsworkshop.org/collection/stories-behind-bars/ The book is based on my sketchbooks from my job as a Spanish interpreter. Its creation was influenced by and in part made possible by work I did while I was at Blue Mountain Center in 2008. This section tells the story of a man being deported through the use of video teleconferencing. It is a signed copy.
