This unique chef experience is a dinner for 10 people prepared by two very experienced Chefs in Perth’s burgeoning dining scene-Chef Stephen Clarke, owner of Clarke’s of North Beach and multi award-winning Executive Chef, and European Foods’ talented in-house chef and WA’s Callebaut Chocolate Representative Chef Phil LaBrooy.  

You and your friends will join the chefs in a lavish four-course dinner, including wines from Nikola Estate Winery, in the lovely ambience of European Foods’ Marketplace

Take in the spectacular glow of the Cheese Cathedral at night whilst you experience a specially curated four-course sit down dinner. 

Taste premium ingredients from European Foods Marketplace, sample the freshest quality produce and learn tips and tricks in the kitchen as you watch the chefs cook your dinner right in front of you!

About Chef Stephen Clarke 

Chef Stephen Clarke is a three time "Catering Institute of Australia" and a two time "Restaurant and Catering Institute" Chef of the Year. Stephen is among only a few chefs in Australia to have been awarded international gold medals for both the starter and main course whilst he was a member of the Australian national culinary team. 

Stephen has often catered for the Royal Family on a personal level, which included being contracted to Government House to personally cater for the Queen and Prince Phillip with the resident chef for the duration of their stay here in Perth. 

This year marks the 34th year Stephen has been cooking and 19 successful years in business for Clarke’s of North Beach. His restaurant has won the Gold Plate for contemporary dining from 2014 to 2019 and has received an impressively consistent score of 17.5/20 from the Good Food Guide for the last five years. 

 

About Chef Phil LaBrooy  

Chef Phil LaBrooy is the resident Chef at European Foods, as well as the Callebaut Chocolate representative for WA. 

His career as a chef began at age 16 when he started his apprenticeship at the prestigious Island Shangri-La in Hong Kong. From here, he moved back to Australia where he continued to work in three chef hat venues such as Bennelong at Sydney Opera House, Ampersand also in Sydney, as well as Momo’s and Est Est Est in Melbourne. 

Upon moving back to Perth, he continued to build his career alongside starting a family and led teams at some of Perth’s most prestigious restaurants such as Balthazar and Duende. 

Chef Phil’s wide variety of venues, cultures and cuisines led him to European Foods where he continues to share his passion of food and fine ingredients through cooking demonstrations and product development.
