"Aleutian Summer Hiking" print by Carol Reed

In 2006 famed Unalaska artist Carolyn Reed spent over 150 hours carving the woodblock for this print from Japanese bass wood.  After one run using oil based inks, each print was then hand colored by the artist, making it truly an original piece of art. As Carolyn Reed wrote: "This woodblock print portrays the beauty of the summer months, (and) memories of hiking on the Aleutian Island tundra."
